As a young adventurer, Tanin Rayson was travelling past the village of Took's Creek when he came across a young maiden just a few years younger than him crying by a tree. Stopping to help her, she explained that her family had been slain by barbarian savages who had sacked their small farming community.

Tanin rushed to the town's aid but was outnumbered badly, and when his sword shattered on the helmet of his tenth slain foe, he retreated to the temple of Numiennen.
谭恩冲向村里去支援但是寡不敌众，当他的长剑在第十个被他杀死的敌人头盔上击碎的时候，他撤向纽明尼的神庙。
There, he met an acolyte named Jerol Townsend, and they were to make their last stand. Tanin picked up the sword of a fallen defender, one that had landed near Numiennen's statue, when it began to glow with a holy light. Tanin and Jerol fought gloriously, and after dozens of their attackers had been slain, the remaining forces retreated.
在那里，他遇到一个名叫杰若 唐森德 的战斗牧师，他们二人决定在这里奋战到死。谭恩捡起一名死去守卫的长剑，这把剑正好落在纽明尼的神像附近。当剑身上涌现神圣之光时，坦恩和杰若感到豪气干云。之后，当几十名攻击者倒在他们面前的时候，剩下的野蛮人决定撤退。
After the battle, Tanin retrieved the girl he had left in the woods for safety. She introduced herself as Safana Moonbow, and having nothing left in Took's Creek, joined Tanin in his travels.
战斗之后，谭恩回去寻找他藏在树林里的那名少女。少女介绍自己的名字叫做瑟芬妮 月弓，她在图克溪已经一无所有，于是她决定和谭恩一起旅行。
又是一个老套的故事……有点点失望，还是冰风1、2的两把神圣复仇者的故事扣人心弦啊 |
