NWN2中会有那些。。。Ambiant Life?。。。什么玩意。。。

Anthony Davis: Ok, at all times and with all developer posts you must remember the caveat; nothing is 100% certain until the game ships. WOTC at any time could reject a creature and it won't make an appearance.

HOW WILL NWN 2 FAMILIARS DIFFER FROM THE ORGINIAL?

Ferret Baudoin: As long as you don't mind familiars not being combat critters then you don't have anything to worry about. I know it's easy to worry especially with the limited amount we can talk about things. We've got some smart folks on the team - hopefully we won't make too many gaffs.

Anthony Davis: The current plan is that familiars will not fight. They can be put in your backpack.

I think the jury is still out on damaging familiars, but I would bet on 'No'.


Animal Companions are a completely different deal. They will be similar to how they were in NWN1.

CAN WE USE CUSTOM FONTS IN NWN 2?

Anthony Davis: Okay, this is what I can tell you so far.

We do have multiple font support. Adam went ahead and implemented freetype for us to use for the GUI. This is not for the converstation editor though, as it currently will use whatever font is defined in the conversation dialog. Does that make sense?

We have not finalized our font support plan for the actual in-game dialogs though. That willbe happening very soon though.

Adam Brennecke: Yes, we will have weather effects. Brian is currently working on many sweet environmental effects and has been for some time. It's looking really good!

Programmer Tough Pants: I'll say this much... You've got the above and it's a fun and beautiful thing to watch (especially when it's set to an accelerated rate).

Imagine if you will, as the sun starts to rise, the shadows of all things in view begin to fade in and are stretched across the land. As the sun gets higher in the sky, the land and all things visible start to brighten and their shadows move accordingly...

The same goes for sunset and the onset of night time...as the sun sets, rich and vibrant evening colors (a redish/orangish hue everywhere) along with outstretched shadows stretching further and further as the sun gets lower in the sky...

Frank Kowalkowski: Edit: there is little chance the weather effects will affect gameplay drastically. The environment already responds to wind dynamically, so you can make it windier or rainier if you would like or just let the engine take care of it.

Tony Evans: Characters will climb or jump onto their mounts. Aside from that, Neverwinter Nights 2 will *climb* to the top of the sales charts, and players will *jump* for joy when they buy the game and discover that Obsidian has managed to make an awesome sequel to NWN despite the continuing absence of climb and jump.

Ferret Baudoin: We may have already commented on this one, if not... Unfortunately we're not planning on supporting importing characters from NWN1 to NWN2. There are enough changes between 3.0 to 3.5 that in many cases things won't map well. There are other changes to systems where mapping characters would potentially deprive imported characters from some cool stuff.

WILL PSIONICS BE ADDED TO THE INITIAL RELEASE OF NWN 2?

Ferret Baudoin: This question has been asked from time to time, and I figure the fans deserve an answer. There are so many things we're trying to accomplish with NWN2 and a major feature like psionics would come at the sacrifice of many other important features. An individual psionic power can be tricky enough to knock off some other feature just by itself (a spell, feat, etc.) - and if you add a whole bunch of them together it is quite an expensive feature. I doubt it will shock anybody - but there won't be psionics in NWN2.
这个问题我已经被问过很多次了,我认为心灵异能的扇子们理应得到回答。如果要加入心灵异能的话,就不得不牺牲掉其他很多重要的元素。而且心灵异能本身就能让很多东西(比如专长,法术等)黯然失色。如果想把整捆的心灵异能规则搬进NWN2的话,代价一定非常的高昂。我知道这让你很受打击,NWN2中不会有心灵异能。

Ferret: No one on the team can say definitively what the final product is going to contain as far as spells, feats, prestige classes, races, and other things go. I know what we have planned - but some of our plans are scaleable based off of developer bandwidth. Some things I can say - all base classes will be in (big shock, I know) and we are planning on having prestige classes out of the box.

[Updated May 2005] Tony Evans: NWN2 will include all of the base classes from the 3.5 edition Player's Handbook: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard. These are also the same base classes that were in the first Neverwinter Nights.

Ferret Baudoin: Rest assured - we are looking into crafting. We've got plans for it, and if all goes according to Hoyle it'll be something people will like. I can't announce details at this juncture (which almost should be my sig, I'm sad to say).

Rhomal's Take: Wow.. HUGE news about crafting.. this is certainly something pw and mp servers have been screaming about for years. If they can make it half as fun and usable as the Ultima Online crafting system it will indeed be a treat!

WHAT IS A 'ROAD RUNNER WARRIOR'?
什么叫“铁道游击队”?
This is more a tactic then a person. It is when a ranged weapons person shoots a arrow/bolt/bullet at a enemy then runs away before said emeny can engage in melee combat. Then after some distance is reached, stops, turns and fires off again and runs away. After some distance is reached, stops, turns and fires off again.. etc.. rinse and repeat until enemy is dead.

WHAT IS A TWINK OR TWINKING SOMETHING?
Twink是指什么?
It is a term refering to boosting a character by either XP or/and items in a unnatural (and sometimes illegal) way. For example a DM who gives his friend 10,000 XP and a +3 weapon 'twinked' the character. Generally someone who is called a 'twink' got a lot of power, very quickly from outside the normal scope of the game. Such players are usally frowned upon by other players.
比如说一个DM给了他的朋友的人物10,000xp和+3武器,这叫做'twink'了这个人物。'twink'了的人物会十分强大,很快会将其他普通玩家远远甩在背后。毫无疑问这回招致BS.

It is the process of casting protective spells on or/and drinking potions to 'buff' your character right before combat.

WHAT IS A 'TANK' AND A 'TANK MAGE'?

A tank is a character who was designed/build up be nothing more then a war machine. For example a Dwarf Warrior with all points in Con and Str and all skills points in combat abilities. A Tank Mage is a spell caster class built as a Tank. However, some people also refer to a able, skilled warrior as a 'Tank' even if the person did not design his/her character as such specificly. Watch the context to see how the term is used to determin its meaning.

WHAT IS A 'DRIZZT CLONE'?
什么是’崔三克隆’?
Drizzt is an extremely popular chaotic good drow ranger superhero who lives on the surface and was popularized in the R.A. Salvatore novels based in the Forgotton Realms setting. Roleplayers hate him because he inspires the more insipid players to copycat him. (In the Baldur's Gate II cameo, the writers actually included some snide dialog that Drizzt says to the PC if the PC is also named Drizzt.) In their eyes, roleplaying is about creating YOUR OWN character. When a character like Drizzt becomes wildly popular, it makes it easier for the lazier roleplayers to copy rather than create. Drizzt clone type characters are generally looked down upon on RP servers.
