歌曲出自瑞典著名的维京金属乐团Bathory1991年的专辑Twlight of the God，改编自英国著名作曲家Gustav Holst的《行星组曲》（The Planets Op 32(1914-6)），由乐队的主唱和灵魂Quorthon（1966——2004）填写了歌词。与Bathory一贯冷酷又狂野的口味不同（Bathory早期的风格更偏向黑金属，是维京金属中口味较重的乐队，这也是我为什么没有特意推荐这个乐队的缘故），这首歌因为沿用了古典风格的旋律，制作得低沉而又质朴，即使在编曲部分也几乎没有加入什么电子合成，器乐是以管弦为主，但都是大提琴，圆号，鼓之类音色低沉的乐器，除了结尾的吉他外几乎没有出现任何高调的音色，用一种近乎原始的状态创造出了宗教般令人膜拜的气氛，神圣而又不可侵犯，难怪以前有个网站用这首歌纪念已故的主唱，就算离开歌词，这首歌的凛然高洁也足以配得上任何一个战士呢。
不过我还是要介绍下歌词的：
