[OTH] Alpha Protocol 开发者的吐槽 和 完全版优化信息

听说这个游戏Bug超级多,而且很有负众望。。。

下面是一个前开发人的叨叨

May 28th 2010 2:35PM I worked on this game (a fact of which I am not proud). I'm not here to defend it; I agree with all these reviews.

First, a comment for the guy at Cheesecake Factory - Most devs eat in the office most days, if they do go out they tend to grab something at the food court and head back. I know the execs take long lunches, but they often use them for informal meetings as well. Most of the programmers and designers very rarely ate outside the office during the time I was on this project.

There was a ton of work put into this game. The problem is that is was a ton of undirected work, or work on things that were just stupid. The Executive Producer for the game, Chris Parker (also an owner of the company), seemed to think he was the world's greatest designer ever, and created all these absolutely shitty systems and wouldn't listen to any of the real designers or devs about things that just didn't work. And you can't exactly argue with one of the owners of the company when he doesn't want to listen. He basically took over the game and dictated exactly how everything would work (or not work, as the case may be). The other producers realized this early on and just gave up, leaving Parker to micromanage all the designers and programmers directly.

Sega also was a factor, because they kept changing the design requirements (yes they had heavy influence there), which never gave the producers and designers time to actually decide on one set of features to make and polish. The blame is still mostly Obsidian's because the execution was absolutely terrible, and it was obvious 2 years ago that this game should have been scrapped. Instead, though, they focused on adding still more features and never fixed the ones they already had. That is a recipe for tons of bugs and no polish... as is obvious.

This game was just an absolute failure of production, and it's no wonder that so many of the developers left the company, even after the 40% staff layoffs. I am still happy about some of Obsidian's other current projects, New Vegas included, because they are going pretty well. Their big unannounced project is looking great and is already much better than AP ever was, and that may end up being the game that everyone was looking for with AP.

Sega should have canceled AP instead of Aliens...

目前已知的一些优化

如果是动鼠标卡,则修改APEngine.ini文件

MinSmoothedFrameRate=20
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=30

如果上面米有效果,就更改
OneFrameThreadLag=False

另外,据ap的那些老外说,用手柄玩会好很多。

由于这个游戏是在Game for windows平台上开发给Win以及XBOX360的,那根据这个游戏的表现,ms黑耀石为了赶工,没有优化鼠标而是使用了鼠标转controller 的API。如果可以的话,大家试试xbox360 controller for windows吧

There's a way to enable 5.1 (though the sounds/settings in game aren't optimized for it, too much reverb, but still much better than stereo) for people with either winxp or vista/7 and Creative Alchemy.
In Winxp, the fix should work straight up, though I haven't tested it. In Vista/7, one has to enable Alchemy for the game first.

In APEngine.ini (C:\Users\username\Documents\Alpha Protocol\APGame\Config), change the following setting:

under [ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]

change to make it look like this:

DeviceName=Generic Hardware

(The mouse handling is still pretty broken in the game. As soon as the framerate in game drops below MaxSmoothedFrameRate, mouse becomes very jerky.)

This fix addresses the issues for people who already improved their jerky mouse issue by lowering
MaxSmoothedFrameRate.

Asset (textures and other things) streaming makes the game drop the framerate severely in certain spots on the map. This fix works by minimizing the streaming, so the framerate and consequently the mouse are much more stable and smooth.

In APEngine.ini (C:\Users\username\Documents\Alpha Protocol\APGame\Config), change the following settings:

UseBackgroundLevelStreaming=false
OnlyStreamInTextures=true

And the final fix:

OneFrameThreadLag=False in the same file.

This should fix all mouse issues, it seems.

已预订了PC版,6月1日才出,似乎XBOX360版已经偷跑了。
不过就算买回来BUG多到玩不了只能供着也是要买的……

开发的很糟,没有经过打磨抛光,各种反人类的操作与设定。然则游戏本身让我能忽略上述种种并且玩的很开心,但依旧很累。

这也算是黑曜石的老传统了吧,你不能期待他们能把游戏做的多么精致,他们会先用画面吓跑一大半人,然后用别扭的操作、bug逼迫一小半人流着泪离开,最后能享受到蟹黄的只剩下皮粗肉厚的变态们。

什么时候才能改改?

ps:猎猎你简直就是天使,终于找到解决鼠标的办法了。于是泪流满面。

你去整个xbox的有线手柄吧,只要是game for windows的游戏都支持

这个游戏如果用手柄玩,效果立刻提升好几个档次,特别是开锁

无线手柄也可以,不过要记得买个Xbox controller for windows,可是2个加起来要450+,还是有线方便便宜又不怕没电

玩过了才知道雷不雷

说实话,操作稍微有些奇怪,可是对话系统以及分支作的很好,不过游戏的优化则很一般,开来他们主要是为平台开发了。我的弱机器跑ME2可以,可是玩这个的确卡。。。

至于说雷作的,ms大多是英语不太好的,一直在吵吵汉化,如果连剧情都不知道,还玩儿什么RPG

原来如此,我用鼠标+键盘玩得头晕死了。。。。。

话说本作不能随时存档真的很麻烦。。。。。
