这个是1977年的Advanced Dungeons & Dragons的玩家手册(也就是Gary Gygax亲自操刀那个版本)里面附带的阵营图表
与我们所熟悉的阵营划分并不是相同的。如下图所示,这图里面LG,CG,LE和CE阵营的范围显得都比较大,而且四个对角线的极端倾向分别被称为
Saintly(圣人般的),Beatific(美丽的),Diabolic(魔鬼般的)和Demoniac(恶魔般的)。而绝对中立的范围却是最小的。
这显然不同于三版时代,NWN1时期对于阵营范围的算法,NWN1是将守序轴和善良轴平均分为0-100点,一定范围分别处于9个阵营中,9个阵营的范围是一样大的。
不知道这将近20多年的时间里,DND的阵营范围的变化是很非常巨大,还是一直相对比较稳定,有达人对此比较清楚的么?
根据2E的PHB对于绝对中立的描述,似乎基本仅仅包括了德鲁伊式的,对于各个阵营没有什么偏见,所以旨在维护世界善恶平衡的那种绝对中立,所以在世界上极其稀少。原文:True Neutral characters believe in the ultimate balance of forces, and they refuse to see actions as good or evil. Since the majority of people in the world make judgements, True Neutral characters are extremely rare. True Neutrals do their best to avoid siding with the forces of either good or evil, law or chaos. It is their duty to see that all of these forces remain in balanced contention. True Neutral characters sometimes find themselves forced into rather peculiar alliances. To a great extent, they are compelled to side with the underdog in any given situation, sometimes even changing sides, as the previous loser becomes the winner. A True Neutral druid might join the local barony to put down a tribe of evil gnolls, only to drop out or switch sides when the gnolls were brought to the brink of destruction. He would seek to prevent either side from becoming too powerful. Clearly, there are very few True Neutral characters in the world. 这种说法似乎与这张图上TN范围极小相符合。
而3E的描述则大不相同,声称大多数绝对中立的人员并不是观点平衡,而是在善恶、守序之间没有明显的自觉,倾向于被好人统治,但却没有足够的自觉达到善良阵营的严格标准。描述叫做Undecided(无立场者)。所以其范围扩大,似乎也就可以理解了。
