2010年度的雨果奖在澳大利亚墨尔本揭晓。 最佳长篇小说授予了两位作家：China Mieville的《The City and the City》和Paolo Bacigalupe的《The Windup Girl》；最佳长中篇：Charles Stross著《Palimpsest》；
最佳短中篇：Peter Watts著《The Island》（Peter Watts去年在穿越美加边境时曾与警卫发生冲突）；
最佳短篇：Will McIntosh著《Bridesicle》(PDF)；
最佳科幻电影：《月球Moon》， 电影剧本Nathan Parke，故事和导演都是Duncan Jones；提名者包括了《阿凡达Avatar》、《第九区》、《星际迷航》和《Up》。
最佳科幻电视剧：《神秘博士：The Waters of Mar》。
